Jaxon and I dyed Eggs last weekend. Jaxon loved to get a spoon and scoop up the
egg out of the dye every 2 min to see if it was changing colors. I explained that it would take a long time for the eggs to change and that the longer you leave them in the dye the brighter the color would be. He understood but continued looking at the eggs as they changed.
As he was looking at the egg in the yellow dye the egg rolled off the spoon and made a big splash back in the cup of yellow dye. Jaxon holding one eye said " O no! I got dye in my eye, what color is it, is my eye changing yellow?" as he looked at me with his eyes opened wide. I said "you better go look in the mirror quickly." He ran to the mirror and came back. I asked " did your eye change colors?" he said " no not yet, but it may take a while for it to change." The next morning Jaxon woke us up early around 6am and said "get up! get up! its a special day time to find those eggs." We told him that the bunny had not yet hid the eggs and to go back to bed he said Ok and we slept a few hours longer. I have a video
of Jaxon looking for the eggs. After he found a few eggs," He said " I am going to tell you this... Bunny's are not very good hider" We defended the Bunny by saying "are you sure... you only found 2 so far." I helped him find the rest of the eggs and we then make deviled eggs for breakfast. On Sunday we tried to explain the true meaning of Easter to Jaxon. Its a lot harder to explain to a 5 year old then you would think. We said something like this..." Heavenly Father gave us his son Jesus. Jesus Loved the children and everyone so much, but he died... and 3 days latter he was alive again... so he still lives and loves us. So He was dead and then 3 days latter woke up and was alive" After a long silents Jaxon said " Well I don't really understand what you are saying to me." We
