Camille Jenavieve McCabe 6lb3oz 19 1/2 in.
She made a grand entrence into this world at 6:22AM
on the April 7th Sunday night Catherine flew out early to be here for the baby birth.
The next afternoon I had a Dr. appointment I was hoping I would be dilated so I could get this baby out of me. I had been very uncomfortable b/c she was under my ribs and I had bad heartburn.
I was dilated to a 1cm and a very soft cervix and the Dr. said she was head down low and I could be induced that day! So on April 8th around 7pm I started the induction by 2am my water broke and I was having painful contractions. They gave me some meds to ease the pain and after another hour of really painful contractions every min apart I asked for the epidural and got it around 4am After the epidural I was dilated to a 5 and 60% effaced. I tried to relax and sleep Matt was snoring on the day bed next to me and I just couldn't sleep b/c I was so excited to have baby Camille. At 5:30 the nurse checked me and said that baby was breach and I was dilated to an 8 she told me that this would for sure be an emergency C section and rushed out the room to call the DR.
I tried to wake Matt but he just kept sleeping I called Catherine who had gone back to my house to sleep and told her to rush over to the hospital. After 5 min the Dr walked in the room turned on the lights and Matt jumped out of bed. The Dr was extremely embarrassed and apolagetic that he had thought the baby was head down. I was given a nasty drink to coat my tummy that I just puked up right after I drank it. Then I was rushed to the surgical room for the C section. I could feel the pressure as they cut and pushed on my tummy to get baby out... it was less than 8 min and baby Camille was out.
I was so excited to hear her cry and know that she was safe. When Matt brought her over to show me I was so dizzy and couldn't really see her clearly. They took me into the recovery room where I got to nurse and Camille held my finger the whole time and I fell in love with her then!
I am so happy.
